Domestic animals (as listed in the EFET-SEAME guideline)
The problem of the presence of domestic and possibly stray animals (dogs, cats, chickens, etc.) lies in the transport and contamination of food, equipment and business premises with a number of aggravating factors, such as:
⦁ Pathogens that may be endemic to the body and hair and there is a risk, through their feces and beyond, to contaminate food and plants.
⦁ Carriers of harmful arthropods and parasites (bedbugs, fleas, lice, mites, toxoplasma, etc.).
Management Ways
The main way of dealing is to prevent the entry and movement of these animals within the premises of the company (for this category, there is a clear reference in Annex II of Regulation (EK) 852/2004)
